This special box is part of a collaboration with Knepp Estate and their pioneering rewilding project, celebrating the remarkable return of the white stork to Britain.
White storks had been absent from Britain for over 600 years until the White Stork Project began their reintroduction programme in 2016. In 2020, the first wild stork chick hatched at Knepp, high in the branches of an oak tree. Today, these magnificent birds can be seen circling above the estate on warm thermals, nesting in the trees and celebrating with their distinctive bill-clattering display.
