These Terms and Conditions apply to the use of this website and the sale of any product sold via www.blubambu.co.uk. By placing an order with BluBambu Living you are agreeing to the Terms and Conditions set out here within.
Ordering & Lead Times
All orders placed on this website will be subject to acceptance in accordance with the Terms and Conditions. All orders are subject to availability.
Once you have placed your order you will shortly receive email confirmation outlining the estimated delivery time and full order details. If you have purchased an item(s) in stock, delivery will be arranged within 2-5 working days for Accessories and Small Furniture and 7-10 working days for Large Furniture respectively.
For any made to order items, an estimated delivery time of 12-16 weeks applies. Upon receiving your order we will advise you by email a more accurate delivery date subject to our shipping schedule. All our furniture is handmade and made to order in Java, Indonesia. We cannot be held responsible for any unforeseen delays with the arrival of your goods caused by shipping. We will however do our best to solve any problems these delays may cause.
We will store any made to order furniture for a maximum of two weeks once we take receipt of the delivery. Storage beyond this date must be mutually agreed between BluBambu Living and the Customer and a storage fee may apply.
We reserve the right to make changes to our products or discontinue items at any time without notice.
Returns & Replacements
If for any reason you wish to cancel your online order, you can do so by notifying us by email within two days of placing your order and a full refund will be processed within 21 days.
Goods already received can be returned providing notice is given to us within seven (7) days of receiving the goods. You will not be charged a re-stocking fee.
For Accessories and Small Furniture Items:
For your added convenience we will happily arrange collection from your home or workplace. Please note that original delivery charges are non-refundable. A re-collection courier fee (£11.95) will be subtracted from your final refund amount. Please ensure items are wrapped carefully and returned in their original condition. Items can also be returned in person for free to our showroom, along with your receipt.
For Large Furniture Items:
If for any reason you are not fully satisfied with your item, our drivers will take it away free of charge as long we you inform them before they leave. A full refund will be processed, less the original cost of delivery paid when ordering.
If within 7 days you wish to return the item we can arrange collection from your home. Please note that original delivery charges are non-refundable. A re-collection fee (same rate as the original delivery charge paid when ordering) will be subtracted from your final refund amount. Items can also be returned in person for free to our showroom, along with your receipt.
In the unlikely event that an item arrives damaged or faulty please contact us within two days, providing photographic evidence where necessary. We will arrange to collect the damaged item and organise a replacement at our own cost.
Any made to order items received carry a 50% cancellation fee against the item cost should you wish to return the item. Original delivery charges are non-refundable and a re-collection courier fee will apply (see guidelines above).
Items can be returned in person for free to our showroom, along with your order confirmation.
For any agreed International orders, goods are not eligible for refund or return.
Any items purchased as part of a clearance sale are sold as seen and are sold on a non-returnable and non-refundable basis.
Handmade from reclaimed materials, any indentations, blocks and fillings are characteristics of the reclaimed wood. No responsibility can be accepted for these variations and we do not select timbers without these imperfections.
Wood is a natural product, therefore, please be aware that timbers may experience movements and cracking throughout its lifetime.
We recommend that you avoid placing your teak or boat wood furniture in rooms that may experience extreme temperature or humidity changes, as this may cause excessive timber movements and cracking. Do not place your furniture near heat sources, radiators or air conditioning units and protect from prolonged sunlight. Please also consider under floor heating may have some impact on areas of direct contact.
Images displayed online are a representation only and we recommend checking real life samples prior to ordering if you are unsure.
Where appropriate we will repair the item free of charge/send a free repair kit; or replace at our discretion within one year of your purchase date or the home delivery date for any made to order items. This offer is provided on the basis that the item has been cared for in accordance with the advice outlined in our Care Guide. Items taken outside the UK are excluded entirely.
In the rare instance that an item arrives damaged or faulty please contact us on 01590 670885 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. We will arrange to collect the damaged item and organise a replacement or a full refund. Note photographic evidence may be required to process your claim. We reserve the right to repair an item rather than replace it.
We cannot be held responsible for stain transfers from products to carpets and recommend the use of carpet protectors.
Payment & Pricing
All prices are inclusive of VAT @ 20%.
For any made to order items we ask for a 25% deposit payable upfront. The final payment balance will be due once your item has arrived in the UK and is ready for delivery. Items must be delivered and final payment settled within 14 days of notification.
All major credit and debit cards are accepted, with exception to American Express, which we do not accept in-store.
Privacy & Data Protection:
In accordance with Data Protection Act (1998) we have electronically recorded your personal data (name, address and contact details) for the purpose of processing your order and keeping you up to date with BluBambu news and offers. If you object to BluBambu keeping this information please let us know and we will delete your details. We do not share any personal data with any third parties.
