What a fantastic weekend it was as Lymington welcomed its inaugural seafood festival in support of the Solent Oyster Project in association with the Blue Marine Foundation.
Billed as two days of “fishy fun”, there was plenty of seafood bounty on offer to feast the eyes and appetite! Washed down with a tipple of Lymington Gin or a pint of “Fish and Sips”, the party atmosphere soon got going as everyone basked in glorious sunshine and great live music!
Having grown up in Lymington and later launching BluBambu here just over three years ago, we love nothing more than getting involved with community events. To our delight, our stand was positioned directly in front of the main music stage, which couldn’t have been more perfect. All weekend festival goers enjoyed a drink (or two!) and great food in the comfort of our oil drum seats (that’s right, I said comfort!) and vibrant collection of boat wood sofas, stools and chairs.
The informal and quirky vibe for both these collections lent themselves perfectly for the party atmosphere. For some, the good times resulted in a spontaneous purchase and who can blame them!
Congratulations must also go to Hannah Cottrell, who’s name was plucked from the giant fish bowl as our lucky winner of an oil drum seat, happy days!
Until next year..!
